Thousands of Latino charter school students will go through 14 years of PreK – 12th grade with less than 5 Latino educators impacting their educational experience. The Latino leadership pipeline is broken with only 8% of Latino teachers and principals nationally.

LEAL, Latino Educators Advancing Leadership wants to increase the number of Latino leaders at every level of the charter sector and launch EL Camino, a 9-month leadership program for Latino charter leaders. This effort is unique in that it will combine both the need for community and healing within the Latino community AND access to the strategic support to continue to lead organizations at scale.

If you want to build the community and be a part of the voice for Latinos in the charter sector, please come and learn more about El Camino, launching in fall 2024.

For More Information: El Camino, a leadership acceleration and sustainability program designed to address three pressing needs:

Community

Latino leaders crave a space to be in community. We will create healing spaces focused on impactful issues such as imposter syndrome, colorism, and identity building.

Healing

Latino leaders need healing, learning, and unlearning. We will offer strategic support (coaching, consulting, and tools) to sustain leadership in charter organizations.

Strategy

Latino leaders often struggle to access and accept additional support. We will shape the path so they are not leading alone but with community and familia behind them in El Camino.
